AN UPDATE FROM YOUR LUNCH STAFF

Hello PVS families. This school year, students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade, get their school lunch delivered to their classroom. Students from 3rd grade through 8th eat in our Multi-Purpose space. After they settle down with their group they walk to the serving table where our lovely lunch staff will hand them their lunch. However, please remember that our program still operates on a pre-order system. In order to make sure your child will receive a lunch, you must pre-order chosen meals monthly.

Every month we will include a copy of the menu and the ordering form on the weekly Digest and on our website. Please pay attention to the due date for ordering. Orders are usually due a couple of weeks before the month starts to allow us time to order enough meals for everyone.

We ask that you look at the menu with your students and pre-order the meals that you know your child will eat. This could be done through our online ordering form (with PayPal payment), delivering a copy of the menu with your student’s choices to the front office or emailing us directly. Paid lunch is $5.90 per meal.

Everyday we offer either cold or hot lunch with a vegetarian option (V) for the days when meat is served. If your student needs a (DF) dairy free, and/or (GF) - gluten free lunch please let us know at [email protected] so we can provide you with the appropriate menu options.

LUNCH AT PORTLAND VILLAGE SCHOOL 2024-2025

Students have the option of bringing their own lunch from home or they can participate in our delicious school lunch program. All our meals are National School Lunch Program approved, and provide balanced nutrition for growing minds and bodies. 

Unfortunately, charter schools are not included on the current, free lunch program from PPS and we will be processing our own applications for Free/Reduced Lunch.

As always, PVS families who qualify for free and reduced lunches never pay anything for school meals! In addition, Oregon has added a new expanded income bracket. If you are a family of 4, earning less than 93,600 annually you qualify for the Oregon Expanded Income Guidelines and can pay nothing for your Child's Lunches.
