Bio

I was educated in English literature, writing and education at Portland State and the University of Portland. Besides spending a few years as a reading specialist in East Multnomah County, I have taught for ten years at public schools in Oregon as well as public and private schools in China. Now having taught for three years at PVS, I love the Waldorf model of all core subjects being taught by the main class teacher. I feel it provides natural opportunities for connection between the subjects. Immersing myself in the gamut of new subjects and topics each year alongside my students has been the highlight of working at PVS! Additionally, I enjoy mountain biking in the summer, snowboarding in the winter, and gardening and cooking year-round.
